Competition Terms & Conditions

Rules of Entry

1. You are the sole author of the entry and it is your original work.
2. Entries for the contest must be submitted online at the contest page. Entry opens on February 10th, 2025. The closing date is 4^th April 2025. Your Entry must be received before midnight on 4^th April 2025 (“the Closing Date”).
3. You confirm that Your Entry does not infringe the rights of any other person.
4. Entries generated by Artificial Intelligence will not be considered. The use of Artificial Intelligence in manipulating photos is also disallowed.
5. All Entrants retain full responsibility for obtaining any permissions needed to display the content of their Entry in the Competition. This includes abiding by national law, seeking permissions for accessing land on which the photograph was taken and the rights to any and all faces or persons featured in the Entry. The Admin accepts no responsibility for those Entrants that fail to comply with this section [9].
6. Your Entry should not contain anything that is defamatory, obscene, unlawful, offensive or otherwise unsuitable.
7. The Entrant must obtain the permission of any person featured as subjects in the entries, who are clearly identifiable in the image, for the image to be used in accordance with these terms and will indemnify OSIL against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement.
8. You confirm that you have sole and exclusive ownership of Your Entry and the Entry does not infringe on the copyright of any other entry.
9. OSIL acknowledges that you will remain owner of the copyright in Your Entry and will endeavour to give you credit. You agree that failure to give credit due to error or oversight shall not constitute a breach of this condition or right of any action or recompense against OSIL.
10. By submitting your entry you agree to grant OSIL a perpetual non-exclusive, royalty free licence to reproduce, publish and exhibit Your Entry on the OSIL website, social media platforms and in official literature and publications.
11. OSIL will appoint a panel of judges to select the winning photograph. The decision of the judges will be final.
12. If Your Entry is the Winner your prize will be a GoPro Hero13 Black & Accessories bundle. The winner may instead, at his/her option, choose an alternative prize of equivalent value offered at the discretion of OSIL. No cash equivalent will be offered.
13. OSIL regrets that it is not possible for persons under the age of 16 years to accept the prize.
14. OSIL reserves the right to amend, suspend, curtail or cancel this competition at any time at its absolute discretion.
15. OSIL takes your privacy seriously. For further information as to how OSIL processes your personal data in connection with this competition please see OSIL’s Data Protection Privacy Notice at https://osil.com/privacy-notice/.
16. By completing the entry form and submitting Your Entry you are confirming that you have understood and agree to be bound by the rules of this competition.
17. OSIL reserves the right not to publish any or all of the photographs at all.
18. No correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
19. The rules of this competition are subject to the laws of England and Wales.
