Section 82 of the UK (England) Environment Act 2021 requires sewerage undertakers to continuously monitor the quality of the receiving water upstream and downstream of their assets.
The Section 82 monitoring buoys from OSIL provide continuous real-time, automated water quality monitoring to assess the impact of discharges from assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
Equipped with advanced sensors and location-appropriate telemetry systems, the buoy systems provide early warnings for pollution or discharge events, with real time data relayed every 15 minutes to a dedicated, secure webpage (or directly integrated into client servers).
OSIL also offer the option of serviced systems (on a 12-month contract), eliminating an operational cost/concern for the end user.
